MEET REDBROWNBLONDE

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by! We are three best friends who met as room mates our freshman year of college and just can't get enough of each other! We came from Dayton, Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee, and St. Louis, Missouri - now we're in Columbus, Ohio, Jackson, Tennessee, and Fort Knox, KY. Our blog began as a way for us to keep in touch, continue to be creative, and inspire others to do the same. We've each made a list of new things we'd like to do or try over the next 24 months, and will document each of them right here. There will be giveaways, contests, and lots of room for interaction, so stop by often! A blonde, a brunette and a redhead, we're like a good bowl of neapolitan ice cream.

The only redhead in her family, Lily is on a mission to dispute the prediction that redheads are going extinct. Within seconds of meeting Claire, Lily thought, “she used to be a cheerleader.... is that a backpack purse she's wearing..?” Rose soon entered and Lily assumed there was no way they'd ever be friends due to Rose's overwhelming coolness. There were several mornings that first semester of college that Lily would be intercepted by Claire or Rose who would kindly take Lily back to her closet and revisit her wardrobe options. While she has dreams of being a rockstar, her ideal job would be anything that paid for she and her husband to explore new lands while he writes about them and she photographs them. But realistically, a small studio space for pots and photos would be just fine. She enjoys the phonetics of the words defibrillator and falafel and gets all giggly when her husband breaks out his spontaneous dance skills. Lily and Ben recently relocated to central Ohio where the biggest transition was the lack of sweet tea at eating establishments. She would love to relive their wedding day as she's more in love with Ben now than she ever has been. They're both artists, so in the rare possibility that a movie is made of their lives, it will most likely be posthumously... nonetheless, Amy Adams would make the best Lily, and Stanley Tucci would play the creative, angst fighting poet, Ben. Much to Ben's disproval, she still sleeps with Pudgy, her stuffed bear who has survived several dog attacks over the years. The youngest of two girls, Lily loved growing up in a small town where country was king and most everyone chewed tobacco and went to church. Her first memory is eating at a McDonald's with her grandparents that was located on an overpass, high above the highway -- this is a true story -- a fascinating, yet terrifying first memory. The first gift her dad gave her mom was a lily of the valley necklace and they've been collecting lilies ever since- they even gave birth to one!  Lily  loves to eat, cook, travel, yard sale, and make lists. It's impossible for her to pick one favorite location, but you'll find Big Sur, California, Venice,  Switzerland, and Ireland at the top of the list.

The brunette sensation, Rose Corbett, was named after her paternal grandma, Rose. She and her husband, Lt. Andrew, reside in Fort Knox, KY where Rose spends most of her day creating fabulous handmade rings, necklaces, clutches and other wonderful accessories, including sweaters for her furry four-legged child, Duece. She would be content as a fashion designer, a personal shopper/stylist or a wedding planner. Once her work becomes famous, Meryl Streep will portray Rose and Jason Statham will be cast as Andrew in the movie of their lives. She could sip on java chip frappes all day and enjoys most any Cuban or Italian dish. Like any good woman, she is obsessed with all things chocolate. She still has her rainbow colored stuffed monkey from childhood which she affectionately called “Monkey.” The second oldest of four girls, Rose loved playing house or putting on fashion shows with her sisters. They also enjoyed playing a Rogers Family original: Wilderness Family. She loved growing up in a house full of girls, but as of late, Andrew has replaced her female room-mates and her rainbow “Monkey.” She thinks he's the funniest man in the world and can hardly get through a story about him without breaking into a giggle fest. They love to travel and enjoy hiking and rock climbing and together know all the words of every rap song ever written. Their favorite travel spot is St. Lucia where they honeymooned last September. They were married in a beautiful old train station surrounded by unique touches that gave evidence to Rose's creativity and attention to detail. She would relive that day over and over again if she could. Who would've thought, five years earlier on move in day, that Lily and Claire would be bridesmaids in Rose's wedding? Rose loved Lily's hair from day one and thought Claire resembled Barbie (she does). She has the ability to make anyone laugh, is Lily's personal stylist when they're together, and has mastered home-made sushi. The best piece of advice she's ever been given was from her father who exhorted her to “Be happy with 'right now'.”

Claire is the blonde one and defies most blonde stereotypes, except the one about being a bombshell. The middle of three kids, she was named after her great aunt, Clara. She'll shout “holy bejeezers” if she doesn't have a diet vanilla Coke every now and then; or if she gets stuck on top of a snow mound in a small volkswagen car. She has a degree in special education, but would love to be a personal assistant or a wedding planner one day. Kate Hudson would play Claire in the movie of her life with new Hollywood sensation Tim McGraw in the role of her studly husband Blake – who melts Claire's heart every time he looks at her when she first walks into a room. Claire was the first to arrive in the new dorm room, for their freshman year of college. Her room was already tidy and quite organized, bursting with loud colors by the time the other room-mates arrived. Rose walked in and wowed Claire with her expensive stuff and good style.  Lily walked in and this blonde bombshell became a bit overwhelmed by the thought of helping this thick accented redhead organize all her crap. Claire's first memory includes falling, a flight of stairs, and a visit to the dentist. Visits to the dentist became a regular occurrence as Claire's favorite foods are cheese, ice cream, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup... but more specifically, peanut M&M's. Her favorite thing about being little was not caring what anyone thought, and being fearless. Her stuffed animal Puff'a Lump accompanied her through this childhood. Several surgeries and twenty-three years later, he is still around. Claire enjoyed her small town Missouri childhood filled with football games, gossip, and all four seasons. If she were given the chance to relive one day, it would be to tell her Grandpa Robinson goodbye and that she loved him and the way he smelled and called her “Dobbie”, kissing her cheek every time he saw her. She loves Sunday afternoon car rides with her husband while they listen to George Strait and pass by old houses that they imagine fixing up one day. Greece has been her favorite travel destination so far, but she'd love to visit Hawaii soon. Her specialties include healthy cooking, organizing, and is regional master of the au naturale hair bump.
